Dr CN Ashwatha Narayan, the Higher Education Minister for Karnataka has asked all the universities and colleges in the state to continue with online classes for the next semester. The exams for the current semester has still not been completed.
The higher education minister further noted that even those universities and colleges who have not completed odd semester examinations of undergraduate programs shall continue online classes for even semesters (Second, Fourth, Sixth and Eighth) as there is a carryover system in most of the programs. He also added that the situation will be reviewed in consultation with the Vice-Chancellors and the Karnataka State Higher Education Council to rework guidelines and schedules for implementation in all the colleges and universities.
In universities where odd semester classes were not completed, these classes will also be continued through online mode.
